Course Prerequisites

1. Minimum age 18
2. Provide a verified log of a minimum of 50 rebreather hours distributed over a minimum of 50 dives, with at least 25 dives and 25 hours on the specific rebreather unit and at least 10 rebreather dives to 30 metres or deeper requiring staged decompression. If completing a unit crossover, provide proof of at least 10 logged CCR dives in the last 12 months
3. Certified as a TDI Air Diluent Decompression Procedures Rebreather/ TDI CCR Helitrox Diluent Decompression Procedures Diver course or equivalent from agencies recognized by TDI

– Understanding trimix use, depth planning, and building safe decompression profiles.

Choosing the Suitable Decompression Strategy
– Selecting gradient factors, planning ascent schedules, and adjusting for dive conditions.

Different Bailout Strategies
– Planning bailout options for various depths, situations, and gas requirements.

Bailout Procedures and Handling Multiple Stages
– Managing stage bottles, switching gases, and ensuring safe bailout in emergencies.

Ascending on a Lift Bag
– Safe deployment, stable ascents, and maintaining buoyancy control during decompression.

Semi-Closed Rebreather Mode
– Using SCR mode as a backup procedure and understanding its limitations.

Rebreather Rescue Skills
– Assisting a distressed CCR diver, managing failed units, and conducting safe recoveries.

Trimix Dives With Multiple Stages and Emergency Scenarios
– Conducting complex dives, applying all learned skills, and reacting to realistic failures.

Equipment Requirements:

1.  Drysuit
2.  Up to 3 stage cylinders
3.  Back up mask, cutting tools, buoy etc.
