WELCOME TO PRIMOŠTEN ECO FESTIVAL

This program provides detailed information about the events at the Primošten ECO Festival. You will receive a final schedule with the exact locations for all lectures, workshops, exhibitions, diving equipment testing, and the concert upon arrival.

Saturday, June 6, 2026

10:00 – Arrival at Diving Center Pongo (GPS Location)

• Free parking, coffee, and tea.
• Festival greetings and opening, program distribution, briefing, and division into groups.

11:00 – 12:30 – Underwater Cleaning Action (Various locations around Primošten)

• Garbage collection at Nova Riva (GPS Location).
• Showers and equipment washing available at Nova Riva and DC Pongo.
• Diving equipment can be stored securely at DC Pongo.

13:30 – 14:30 – Lunch

Lunch served in the restaurant.

14:30 – 16:30 – Rest Period

Stretch out on the beach or visit the Pongo Diving Center to socialize and test diving equipment.

16:30 – Workshop: “The Importance of a Healthy Sea” (For younger generations)

This open workshop is suitable for all ages and is organized in cooperation with the Primošten Elementary School. A lecturer from the oceanographic association SUNCE will present on the impact of marine waste.

16:30 – DAN Europe: “8 Uncommon or Understated Diving Safety Problems”

Presented by Guy Thomas, Director of Safety Programs.
Location: Conference Hall, Hotel Zora

17:15 – SDI/TDI Presentation: “Ghost Net Recovery” Diving Course

Discussing the crucial need for education when handling tools and fishing materials underwater. Presented by Jurgen Baumer, Regional Office Central Europe.
Location: Conference Hall, Hotel Zora

18:00 – Open Workshop: Lost Nets and Fishing Materials (“Ghost Nets”)

A collaborative workshop fostering cooperation between fishermen and divers. We will lay the foundation for including fishermen in net removal projects so they can recover their gear. Includes an open discussion on future cooperation in 2026. The Ghost-network team will return from September 26 to October 10, 2026, to assist in removing reported nets.

19:00 – AI Film Screening & Interactive Game: Posidonia

Discover sea meadows, the “lungs of the Adriatic.” Join a game for festival participants featuring special prizes, hosted by the Sunce Association.

21:00 – Evening Entertainment

• Bingo awards and certificates of appreciation.
• Concert: INDIRA FORZA (Facebook Event)
• Location: Main square in old city Primošten

08:00 – 13:00 – Morning Activities

• Diving Excursion: Pongo Diving Centre boats will take divers on a free dive at the Dolphin Reef location.
• Manual Presentation: “Organizing and carrying out diving actions to clean the bottom of seas, rivers, and lakes.” Presented by Matko Pojatina, DPS. (Location: In front of Diving Center Pongo)

14:00 – Lunch

Lunch at Hotel Zora.

During Both Days

• Equipment Tryout (DAN, MARES, LE FEET, TECLINE): A unique opportunity to try out diving and first aid gear, find what suits you best, and get expert advice directly from the manufacturers.
• Exhibition: “The Importance of a Healthy Sea”
• Chill Out Zone: Located in front of the Pongo Diving Centre. Enjoy music, live guitar performances, drinks, and snacks throughout the festival.
